Zagora (pronounced: Zah-gore-rah) is a founding member and principal dancer of Daughters of the Nile Professional Troupe. She is also Daughters of the Nile’s costume advisor. Zagora’s enchantment with the Middle East began when she lived briefly in Saudi Arabia and Morocco. She started belly dancing in 1998 and has been teaching belly dance since 2003.
In addition to her fluid movements, Zagora also brings to her dancing an extensive background in Occupational Therapy. This adds an extra level of skill to her knowledge, ability, and teaching style.
Audiences and students respect and adore Zagora and praise her effortless artistry with the highest of compliments. Her dancing is enchanting and playful, but Zagora is also a mysterious enigma. One performance is never enough!
